Seeing What’s Possible
A better solution for one venture capital firm could be a better solution for three more.
Challenge
The venture capital firm Maveron wanted downtown office space that reflected its premier status within the industry. Leadership of the firm said they were looking for a traditional office solution, but they also wanted economies of scale, flexibility, and synergy in terms of a potential building’s tenant mix.
Solution
Venture capital firms are known for vision, so when Kinzer heard “synergy and economies of scale,” an idea took shape that was anything but traditional, and the confidential networking began. Soon, Kinzer had four venture capital-related firms looking at a full floor of space at 505 Union Station, a Vulcan development on the edge of Pioneer Square. The floor was too big for any one firm, but thoughtful planning would guarantee each secure private space as well as the flexibility to grow and contract.
